Marshall
is a Wirehaired
Pointing Griffon who was a friend of Doc's! Doc had grown up with Dad and had always came up to hunt with our family. In the '90's he started bringing Marshall and if you saw Doc---Marsh was somewhere close! Marsh was an excellent field dog but there weren't many pheasants to be had around here. Doc took him to South Dakota a couple of times and they would "HUNT TILL THEY DROPPED!" Gretchen got Marsh interested in turkeys and Doc started Fall hunting with him. Marsh did not bark at them but if he got onto one you could bet on it being put to the air! Marsh was one of those, "Once in a Lifetime Dogs" ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Loyal
to a fault and you just knew if there was something the matter with
Doc--Marsh was worried! And the same if something happened to Marsh! We lost Doc a few years ago and Marsh died the next day! It only happens in the Movies!!!! We sure do miss them!!! Every year we make a donation to the JAKES program in our local NWTF Chapter in memory of Doc and Marshall! Everybody should have "One Marshall" in life!
